Suzuki GSX 250R UBI report
The Suzuki GSX-250R has been unveiled in Japan & China. The bike comes with typical ‘GSX’ family styling and good amount of feature. The under powered engine is a let down, but should bode well with the markets it is intended for.
At the current engine specs, it is unlikely that Suzuki will launch the bike in India. There is no confirmation on a higher powered variant either.
Suzuki is one manufacture that the global recession hit very bad and they have been concentrating on the lower end of the market to regain lost sales. The Gixxer 155 is doing great here in India and people have already began to ask for an upgrade. That’s were the Suzuki Gixxer 250 or rather the Suzuki GSX 250R comes in.
We saw a couple of fake concepts and rendering in the past months but now some spy shots from china has given us a glimpse of what exactly to expect. The Suzuki gixxer 250 will share the same single headlamp arrangement to its bigger sibling, and looks almost like a bigger more aggressive Gixxer SF. The bulk neatly covers up any open spaces in the design, and the bike gets proper sportsbike detailing. The instrument console is all digital.
Powering the Gixxer 250 will be a quarter liter parallel twin cylinder motor, churning power figures above the 25 unit range.
